Hello May

Posted in Main Page at 3:33 am by Renato

Hello May. Miss ya.

After A long Winter.

From December to End of April, is what I considered Winter, regardless of how the weather is like.

Therefore, in my dictionary, summer has officially arrived.

Although it does not mean blue blue sky and “sunshine on my shoulder” all the time, still, its good.

Unfortunately  we are going nowhere in this holiday again, yet taking some time off together is never a bad thing…

OK,Summary of last week:

Cleaner ironed my intentionally, industrially-crinkled dress flat. As much effort as I put, I couldn't wrinkle it the way it was before.

End of the summary.

 What a flat week.

Long Week

Posted in Main Page at 3:02 am by Renato

What a long week was last week….

It is like this: If there is something irregular in the schedule of your daily life, you get to remember those days better.

Like I never know what I did in which week, but certainly I’d remember better about last week.

In terms of academic itinerary, it has been bloody hectic….of course, if I hadn’t wasted so much  time in the first 3 days….

But wait a minute, how can taking a small break be a waste of time?

Anyway, what I am saying is, I finally managed to finish all the assignments by Sunday night, BASICALLY.

Wednesday night Gordo came back from his trip. Correct it, it was Thursday morning.

Bought me 3 Indian sharees, a shawl, and a pair of earrings.

Those sharees are truly BEAUTIFUL. Textilewise, they are not so good. What he called “soft silk” feels like cotton. What he called “cotton” feels stiff, and not cottonlike. And the other one feels even harder, just like paper. BUT, try putting as much as chemicals, dye stuffs on a piece of soft fabric like this, anything could turn different.

The colors, those are the most facsinating. Red, yellow, gold, purple, black, green….magic combo. I probably won’t get to wear any of them in my city here, ever, but they can be lying there just to serve for appreciating purpose.

I’ve been thinnking, there’s not much of a fashion design business in those areas, as all the traditional Bangla clothes are of the same silhouette, so are the Indians. But, textile and fabric pattern design cetainly looks like a big thing to me!

I had tried wrapped up myself in one of those sharees, and I’d never seen anybody smaller in a pile of colorful fabric like this. I had no idea those costumes turned out to be just a rectangular cloth that goes meters and meters.

However, it looks nice. Very nice. Every country has a traditional way for a woman’s look, and one way or another, it enhances some beauty of their women.

The shawl looks great, very rich in colors and patterns, and pashmina does feel soft. IT’s gonna be in frequent use in autumn I guess.

As for the shiny gold-blue double heart-shaped earings, they are sort of a disappointment at first glance. Yet, after trying them on, they look just right. And I had grown to be very fond of them.

Gordo said Salim paid for it, he wouldn’t want to buy more. Why he  didn’t grab a dozen pairs and just quickly pay for them before anybody could act?

Yeah, I’m a greedy woman.

And this “greedy woman”, is about to “walk down the street” to catch the bus….

got to go….

day 3

Posted in Main Page at 2:39 pm by Renato

Had a long day in school today.

After that I wen to meet Mira in the city for dinner.

Dinner was not too good.cheese cake+ice-cream+mix of fruits. And after the long line bus, which took around 1 1/2 hour to get home, all of the abovementioned stuff was calling to get out.

I hate when buses take the long line. What for? It’s basically going where the trafic is.

Which genius get this idea of separating lines by differnet hours? Soooooooooo smart!!!!

Figured just charge 1 rmb less and its justified..yeah, sure, people waste 1/2 or even 1 hour more on the way and will be happy to just save up 1 rmb in return!

Anyway I was so sick when I got out of the bus. Had to head right home for a rest.

My huge plan of doing homework tonight is gone with z wind again.

Found this kid on the way to Dhaka’s big Shopping Mall. He was quite confortable in his birthday suit, not caring about what was around him. That will eventually change…

monday

Posted in Main Page at 1:50 pm by Renato

Last night I slept on the princess bed in my work room.Since the “King “is not home, I don't like to use the king size bed upstairs.

I now understand why Mira loves that little white bed so much. It WAS comfortable.Although, in the middle of the night i had to drag myself to the toilet for 3 times, due I had too much of Mira's soup…

Got up 9:30 am, and when I was ready it was like normal, 11am. Time for school.

Hardly had any time to patch up the homework that I missed doing.Last night before sleep, I did try to do that, it was a cool cool wool jacket for men, yet upon finishing, it totally looks like a set of sleeping suit.:(

I figured it'd be a shame to turn it in today,so I didn't, which means, late delivery. Lost points and more work to do this week.

Shit.

Anyway, after school I met up with Amanda and Echo for dinner. Amanda drove, yet she does not know the way.For the first time in my life I got to act as a road guide. Not that I'm any good, its that I've been on that same road day after day that I almost can recognize…

Sichuan good was great, and as usual I overate. Amanda said people were looking at our table probably bacause we overordered. We were like 3 women just out of prison. But it was nice food…

Then She drove me to Mira's place. She had some soup prepared and of course I glad accepted. We as Chinese, the best way to express affection, care and love is to offer food. And the best way to receive them is to accept.hehhehehe….

I heard Gordo 's having Korean food over there tonight. good luck with ur pepper under 34 celsius degrees, haha.

And I've GOT to sleep right now….

un dia sin gordo…

Posted in Main Page at 2:49 pm by Renato

Today early morning Gordo left for Bangladesh on his business trip, and thus started also my trip of being alone.

Alone actually not.Mira had came along with us since Saturday night.

So here is the review of the day:

7:30am Mira rushed into my room while I was sleeping, dashed to the window and opened the curtain, screamed to me:”time to wake up , the weather is great today, we got sun!”"Quickly wake up and see the sun!”"fast!”

I was so pissed.

I don't care about no sun when I am sleeping. Besides, its early in the morning, way too early.

But the fact is that, we got big windows in the master's,and the beautiful sunlight all of a sudden brightened the whole room, to the point I had to wake up.The next 30 minutes was spent in vain struggling to go back to sleep again. And Mira had long gone back to her room probably snoring in her sleep. When she left she said—now that u r awake, i can go back to sleep again.

8am I decided to finally get up and kick her ass.So in the end we were even.

Then we went out shop around in the neighbourhood, went to the wet market to get food for lunch.Mira had promised to cook for the day.(Breakfast was the left-over dinner by Gordo though)

God I'm so lucky, gordo cooks for me all the time. And Mira is glad to cook whenever I ask.I almost never had to cook.(Again, that does NOT mean I can't cook:*)

Lunch was Bell Pepper beef, ginger duck, parsley with conserved pork, donggua soup.

I ended up over-ate, and of course consequently had to jump to nap.

And terribly when I woke up at around 4pm, I just felt hungry again, then guess what, there went the dinner….

Mira left around 8. And I had done nothing in the homework department.

yet i'm so beat.I could've have done those during the week, but I had been too busy being mad with gordo in the weekdays, that I didn't do anything else…

2 more days to go, let's see what happens.

By the way, pics of the lunch will be uploaded soon too.

Our family lost a member

Posted in Main Page at 3:43 am by Renato

This past Wednesday our family lost a member. Tonho, the family Chihuahua was adopted by another family. With our busy schedules we were unable to give much attention to the little fellow and he was gloomy and acting the role of abandoned child. His toilet habits deteriorated to the point there were no off limit areas for his discharges.

He will be missed though. It was reassuring to have him make little noises and violently shake his tail upon our arrival home. And having him cuddle to us when we sit on the sofa.

He should better off as we seem to have found a real dog lover to adapt him, who will give him the attention he craves so much and deserves to have.

Life goes on…

my study room

Posted in Main Page at 2:09 pm by Renato

Finally the study room of  my dream is basically completed.

There is a big wood table(natural light wood color) for drafting, leaning against one side of the wall, opposite is a beautiful white princess bed, with lots of pillows and cushions in it.

A huge closet,  also comes in white. Bigger than the one i sold to Vienne.:)With lots of cabinets for all my tools and fabrics and works.

I'm keeping the final projects from last term in it, which are just one dress, a blouse and some hand-woven tank top.All look shitty, but they are my works. Got to keep them.Besides, I did spend some painful hours , days on them before.

Then with the lights we bought from the weekend installed, it looks really nice.

It all goes well with the pastel color wall paper, flowery edge deco, my white tiny set of Hi-fi, perfumed candels…It's a practical room that actually looks nice!

Very happy about it.So gordo, i guess i got to send some kisses to u from here.U helped a lot.And now my study room is kind of better than urs:)(at least in my idea).

I will soon put some pics of this new room to share.
