This morning when I opened my eyes I saw a lit-up birthday cake walking towards me(with Gordo at its back
)
It’s my favorite flavor–Chocolate. There are 2 candles at one side of the cake, and 7 at the other side. Geez, Turned 27, how time flies.

After I blowed off the candle Gordo went downstairs to pick up my gift. This is a very nice bag. Very soft leather. It goes with everything, apart from cocktail dress and evening gown.

Inside of the bag lays a beautiful red knit dress. Fits me just well!
Looks like Gordo knows his way to hide gifts. Last night while I was putting Mira’s cake away in the fridge I did not see any other cake. And guess what, he hid it in the small fridge upstairs! :0
Coming to think of it, what I want from 27, is never to lose what I have now. Of course, more to gain is welcome…

ew!
I am still shuddering at my new discovery tonight and the goose bumps are still with me!
While checking around the aquaruim tonight I noticed that one of my favorite, the cute black gold fish, who is normally very active, is hidden in a corner very quiet. Then later when I looked closer I was quite taken aback by the disturbing scene in front of me: Its eyes! They looked much more bulged, almost like they are dropping out. Of course, as a gold fish, this black cuttie has a normal pair of popped-out eyes, but they look firm in the head and the eyeballs in the “vault” have always been actively, curiously turning to all directions while the fish swims. However, what I saw tonight, is a pair of eyes(actually I did not see any eyeballs somehow) that almost grew decadent on a living creature. ew!
The lost of sight has naturally reduced his activiness to a great amount. As he swam slowly and turned to the other side, I saw that its other eye was filled with blood. Under each eye there was a silver grey circle that looked so unhealthy! ew!!!
It swam away, and by then, the silver fish, another of my favorite, came up to him and poked his sharp mouth to its injured eye, for a few times! ew!
This silver fish is very bad. First I thought he was really stupid because when night comes and I turn the light on, he would swim up and down along the mirror for a whole evening, chasing his own image, but lately I found out it’s not true. He has been acting the role of a bottom feeder and has eaten many many corpse. As a result he has grown much longer now.
I woke up Gordo and told him the news and told him that my No1. suspect is Silver. He said it could be that the water has virus because silver most likely only attacks the dead and the wounded.
The aquarium has to be observed every single day! Once overlooked for 2 or 3 days there is bound to be some unpleasant surprise.
Tonight it gives me lots of lots of goose bumps!
I moved black cuttie to another tank. Hope it survive…

Chapter One: Night Out with Mira

One thing I should feel lucky about, is that I have a friend who always remembers my birthday and celebrates it with great enthusiasm all these years. And she is my college classmate, roomate and my best friend. This is me, the birthday gal tonight.

The hotpot we had for dinner tonight. After we made our orders, the”Xiaojie” didn’t move right away, for a few seconds. Then she asked tentatively:”eh…don”t u think its too much for 2 gals only?….”. We looked at each other:”Maybe not.”
By the way the hotpot was fantastic!

Apart from the facial mask (gift)and the dinner, Mira also bought this lovely cake. We had it for dissert.
Chapter Two:

While waiting to meet Mira, I walked around the mall and saw this cute black shimmering tanktop. Not all that glitters is gold, but I am fatally attracted to shiny stuff.Plus, there’s very cute flower shape beadings on both straps( Pic does not show because of my hair…). So I had to have it.

Herina, my cool lecturer brought me this pant-skirt from her trip to Bali. Like the color. Very me!
Chapter 3: Yesterday I had relative attack episode 3. And I should blog about my first 2 days at school after CNY(how bitter-interesting the work has been). But I got to sleep.

While Googling myself today I came across some apparent little known member of the Morbach family. The Morbach Monster!

The information comes from a web page dedicated to werewolves in Germany. The text follows below:
“The Morbach Monster
Anonymous
Have you ever heard of the Morbach Monster?
I first learned of the legend while I was stationed at Hahn Airforce Base, Germany. Morbach was a munitions site just outside of the villiage of Wittlich.
Supposedly Wittlich is the last town where a werewolf was killed. There is a shrine just outside of town where a candle always burns. Legend has it that if the candle ever goes out the werewolf will return.
One night a group of security policemen were on the way to their post at Morbach, when they noticed that the candle was out at the shrine, and all joked about the monster.
Later that night alarms were received from a fence-line sensor. When the security policemen investigated the call one of them saw a huge “dog-like” animal stand up on its back legs, look at him, and jump over the 7 1/2 foot chain-link fence. A military working dog was brought to the area where the creature was last seen, and the dog went nuts, not wanting anything to do with tracking the creature.
This occured around 1988.
There have always been “ghost” stories dreamed up by bored security policemen, but this is one I have heard over and over again. Thought you might find it interesting.
- Source: E-mail, dated October 6, 1997, to D. L. Ashliman from a respondent who wishes to remain anonymous.
- Another eye-witness account reads as follows: “I was stationed at Hahn Air Base, Germany, from May 1986 to August 1989 as a security policeman, and it was my group that witnessed the Morbach Werewolf. Whoever told you the story about the monster that you put on your website had very accurate information. The creature that we saw was definitely an animal and definitely dog or wolf like. It was about seven to eight feet tall, and it jumped a twelve-foot security fence after taking three long leaping steps.” (From an e-mail received by D. L. Ashliman November 16, 1998)”
Now you tell me: How many families can take the credit of having a MONSTER named after them???Â
The link to the site can be found here.

This was 2005 New year.

I hate Spring.
In the north this might be a season when snows start melting, green leaves start sprouting from branches, maybe even birds start chirping again. But in Canton, this is when the endless drizzles, high humidity and smoggy weather are brought into full play.
Woke up to a shitty day this morning. Looking out from my windows it was this milky smog all over the places ,with drizzles. Looked like a day to stay in…
So I called Mary and we Bs until my phone dropped to “low bat” sign. She called back, I picked up another phone fully charged and “carried on” till noon.
By then surprisingly the weather cleared up. No more drizzling, smog was washed away and the visibility was great. Sky was still lead-grey but the hill, the pond, even the trees outside of the window suddenly had an edge. I like this picture no less than a bright sunny day.
So Gordo suggested that we go hide away from the cleaner this afternoon. Destination: Ikea. ( I like Ikea, furniture malls, lately plants garden, but hate computer city, all kinds of harware stores…hohoho)
There is a big difference btw Gordo and Me that I observe– When shopping in Ikea he was always after practical items like woods, sticks, wires, customized boards, lights, and I kept drooling over candles, cushions, picture frames. Therefore it was quite difficult for us to keep in pace.
After 2 hours of digging we took 3 frames, 2 plants, 1 shower curtain and tools, a beautiful clock and some hangers to be installed in the store room. It was a bag full of stuff, to the point that I told Gordo “We should stop coming to Ikea for a while, otherwise our apt would soon become an Ikea warehouse…” but when we got home and put everything in place, they kind of dissolve in the environment and the shopping seemed so insignificant!
The clock looked very nice at its corner (would’ve been better if Gordo did not drill the hole crooked…). In the evening we spent some time printing the pics for the frames. Plants are transferred to better-looking vases (Hope they don’t die…).
Sometimes I think if I were not in fashion design, I would be in Interior design, except that requires a lot more than just looking good. It has to be structurally reasonable, or possible. This part I will not manage well…
We watched American Idol again. The girls round was much better, but this year I didn’t like anybody. Doesn’t matter who wins in the last.
So there goes another day.

colorful clock

new frame (the last pic taken in front of Tiananmen with gordo’s mom and my bro reminds me of how wonderful the trip was. It was so dry so cold that all of us had a pinkish hue on the cheeks

Does the new frame just stand out?!

One corner looking different with the shopping of today.

Back to my tedious report of CNY activities 2007…
Last night I accidentally had 2 much woolong tea and couldn’t sleep until after 2am.
Woke up quite early in the morning and felt like throwing up. (positively, it was tea not JD).
Uncle said he could actually hear duck, rooster, goose, bird, and dog from the guest room he’d been sleeping in, and it’s been ages.wow, i take that as a compliment. This place brings him closer to nature. (But honestly if I were him I’d gone crazy and would not have had such a good night of sleep as he had…)
Original plan of today: get up, walk around, buy food to prepare a hotpot in home for lunch, movie and see them off.
2 is company, 3 is crowd, >3 is an organization that requires some management. Everybody was so slow in the morning, by the time the last one was back from the toilet it was over 10am. So change of plan: go to the farm. Rice noodle(my love) for lunch(quick and easy).
The time on the farm was pleasant, as I have uploaded several pics here today. Dad cooked rice noodle for lunch. I beat everybody by far as the biggest eater.(sigh, sometimes I am just like my goldfish, over-eat, over-drink and do not realize until 2 late)
Did not have time for any movie and Gordo printed the relevant pics of the farm trip and the crowd enjoyed looking and making comments at them.
It was a quiet day we had spent. Simple people, simple food, simple pleasure but everybody was happy.
After seeing them off, we rushed back in time for American Idol. Geez was the guy’s show boring this year! No one impressed me.In fact I fell asleep and missed the last 2 performances.
Still have some hope for Chris the fat curly hair though…
Tomorrow life back to normal. Will probably be stitching the 2 fitting of the 2nd dress. For lots of people the CNY party is not over until the Lantern’s Day, for me it’s just pratically over.

Beautiful piggy is leaning against the wall of her room, full of curiosity, wonders and eagerness in her eyes.

when I lay myself side by side with her, she was quite ok with her new company for a while. But when the camera was ready she suddenly turned to me and “oink” to me.I didn;t get the message–Does she want me away or is she too happy I’m there?

Baby goat is asking to be kissed.

Have u ever been in a peach garden? Peach flowers are beautiful, but beware, you will be intoxicated by its beauty and lost forever…
