Lar, Doce lar
Today it continued to be cold. I spent 2 nights in Mira’s apartment while Gordo was in Xiamen. In the morning I left around 8, again had to drag along the big black bag with used clothes inside.
Before I left I took the last look at Mira’s apt and thought it is really neat for a mid-20’s single woman. In fact, I had slept quite well over these 2 nights. A comfortable place to be. ![]()
Last night Mira dragged me to do a facial treatment after dinner. Spent 2 hours in the beauty parlor–it was a big big challenge for my very limited patience. After tons of different creams they loaded on my face and all those massage I did fell great for a while, (plus yesterday was March 8th the Women’s Day they offered free eye-brow plucking, hohoho), however this morning when I woke up I just looked the same. In fact, while waiting for Herina to correct my paper pattern in the classroom, this junior schoolmate was there too. She looked at me, and I looked at her. Just to break the awkward silence she suddenly said to me:”Your face looked quite fucked.” I smiled and said”I do know.” ….
Today was also a low-yield day. Morning Mark was showing the “American Gigolo” in Style and Trend class. I was rushing a journal to be handed in the afternoon. After that I basically loafed around waiting for Herina to finish her cigarettes and her break so she can correct my work…
Gordo was back from Xiamen trip early in the afternoon. Thanks God safe and sound. The weather was not good and this made me more worried of the flight. He came to school and pick me up. He has a great habit, to always bring a little gift from his trips. This time a little red velvet box was lying in front of the windshield. As I opened it I saw a beautiful pair of jade earrings. Looks very cute.
So after 3 days and 2 nights, we both finally go home together. None of my fish died. Green plants look more vigorous than ever( They must have been tired of seeing me…). The apt was COLD. Turned the heater on, showered and watched the elimination on American Idol.
And now, now I am just sipping a glass of Shiraz.
The school term is drawing to an end and the next 2 weekends I have loads of paperwork to do…
