What a lazy day.
Today went with Gordo to buy car tax. Tunred out that we hadn’t bought any tax since 2005. We had to pay a considerable bigger bill.
The car is a money pit. This month it generates way more expense than I do. Car is > than wife.

Today is no fun! A boring and exhausting working day, nothing worth mentioning.
i am so unstable. Today I make some sketches and am very proud of them, tomorrow I genuinely think they are no good. My passion doesn’t burn long. We purchased some knitwears for selling in the mall and the moment we got to the office I asked May:”May, do you think we’ve bought some shit?”
I need something good to happen to me…

Today me and May work in the mall. Since salegirl Mabel took off for the day we also did the sales. Both of us are terrible salesgirls. We just sat behind the counter, spread our fabric sample and accessories and drew. Neither of us bothered to attend the customers( except only when they asked).
By the end of the day we each completed 10 deisgns and was bored to death. So I tracked down the nearest 99y delivery number and we had some snack there. The day has been so slow, so long. When I got home it was past 8. Man!

Woke up experiencing a hangover. The whole world is spinning–the worst part is I didn’t even drink last night–What did I do to deserve it?
So I checked my blood pressure–way too low. Gordo said the best way to cure it,is that he make a Caipira.
That’s interesting–if you drink too much you get a hangover in the morning; And if you don’t drink and have the hangover, you have to drink.
It has been an assembling weekend. We did the shelf, the small table, the drawers, and the closet. No, Gordo did. I did all the carton boxes and cleaning.
I am happy that my workroom is a lot neater. It was getting on my nerves.
The day is short, big lunch and long nap.

Today I went to Ikea with Gordo again. Reason is yesterday I odered this wooden shelf that I could not carry by myself. And because of the boxes I lost we have to go through Ikea again. With Gordo it’s a different perspective–Things that i’d think don’t exist, suddenly appear from every corner, and I passed by things that I thought were cute yesterday thanking God I didn;t take them after all. For example the floral shelf that gave me a strong impression to the piont I spent 5 minutes staring at it yesterday, today I thought the floral pattern look like some virus under a microscope.
Anyway, today we have a good purchase. The foldable dining table we’ve been searching for and waiting for has finally came to our life! It is just perfect for the place we have in mind! It does not have legs–nailed and hung from the wall and it could be folded and put down, which does not take space at all. Along we agreed on the black and white foldable chairs that perfectly hide under the table. Strangely, after the table is installed, the kitchen does not look any smaller. In fact, because the fact that the kitchen can have all this area as to put a dining table, makes it appear even bigger! No more eating over the sink! No more spreading table cloth over a 6-seat dinning table for a soup meal! Halleluja!

Another hot week. Thursday delivered the sketches of 11 dresses to the new pattern-maker. We seemed to have good communication there. She seemed to understand what I pictured, and besides that she gave her professional opinion in some details. She is well-dressed, and looks clean-cut. Let’s see how those pieces come up next week.
I personally think it is much easier to design than make patterns. A good pattern can give life to a simple design, and if the pattern is bad, a good design can be screwed. A designer can copy when he/she is not inspired, but a pattern-maker is all about skills and brains. I admire them!
This time, I have confidence that all of those dresses are gonna come up very sellable! I have a price control there and I think the designs are exquisite but not weird.
(hehehe, Mark will say what he always says–Girl, you really are not shy huh?)
Yesterday I went to Ikea and bought myself a big load of boxes and drawers and shelves. My closet is a nightmare and my desk looks like a tornado-hit when I work. I have a great ambition to clear all the old stuff away and get organized. But I am like a “moscona tonta” (the fly that has been sprayed) shopping alone. And no surprised after I paid I lost 2 boxes somewhere. Anyway they didn’t make it home.
So last night I cleaned up 6 or 7 big bags of trash–tattered fabric, old homework including drafting assignments, sketches, some sewing projects and draping homework.
Now the closet looks nice and neat. And I painted my new little wooden drawers in different colors, which Gordo said looks like nursory room stuff.
This morning Tonho’s new mom(not so new anymore) called and said he died of car accident. She took him for a long stroll and he got hit on the way home. I feel pity for Tonho. He is not my dog anymore but, poor thing. She is crying over the phone. It’s gonna take her a while to get over it since she is very emotionally bonded with tonho. And she is a very sentimental person.
I don’t know what to say.
I recently lost Dalilah and understand how it feels.
Right now I’ve got to concentrate on my designs and make them all sell.
Anyone interested to buy? Seriously?

By now I managed to come up with 12 designs and I am able to go watch Jay Leno.
haha, not bad, a few hours in the fabric market,a few hours concentrating in front of my desk instead of roaming around the apt. Not too bad at all.
