Bought a scooter to ride inside of Clifford.
Yes it’s about time.
Line A bus is getting so crowded, and few and far in between.
Apartment is “so close, yet so far” when I have to ride on Line A to go in.
Now byebye Line A.
This scooter is not cool and a little too short, but it’s safe for me and the best color that is available.(Of course you can always go for black..)
Very easy to ride. I rode it home right after the purchase.
Now my auntie/housewife image is practically complete. Small curly hair+ short scooter.
I hope I don’t get over-weight over this winter.

Seems like a good sale cause I almost picked up the wrong donkey today when I came back from supermarket.
Exactly the same except for the color of lock.
I need to personalize it with some stickers soon…

I must have been a not-so-bright embryo because I seemed to have picked up all the wrong genes from my parents. Among many, is my hair. Mom has luscious black hair and Dad’s hair is naturally curly. I ended up having scarce incredibly soft(Dad’s) straight(Mom’s) hair.
As a result I perm my hair about every 8 months since 23 years old.
Today I did my routine perm but what I did differently was discard my horribly expensive hair-dresser and went for the one that Mary highly recommends.
He totally did something I didn’t want.
After we walked out of the salon
Mary–”He was really interested in me, but ever since I mentioned that I have a car and a store, he turned cold.”–”but one the other hand, I really like your hair.”
Me:–”I wanted big waves, not small curls…”
Gordo–”You know those aunties that shop in the wet market all wear their hair like this, right?”
>__<

After I got home I found out the jewelry cabinet I wanted has been delivered.
The year is drawing to an end and I have this usual big cleaning mood. The accessories need to be sorted out.
They are real cheap but they cling to me. The expensive ones all have found their way to leave me.

Thanks to Franny who recommends this box to me and Mira who bought it for me. Lol…

We had the vehicle annual check-up in Panyu today, finally.
My usual worry-free style had rendered us a 2-year expiry date on this check-up and I started to worry when I was told that insurance wouldn’t cover a car that is not “”road-safe”.
The guy at the station told me if I did the inspection right now, according to a 2 year validity period, since my last inspection date was in December 2007, that would only give me a certificate till Dec 2009. I have to redo the inspection for it to go until Dec 2011.
The funny thing is, we were supposed to run 2 inspections at the same time which is completely the same. That means the car is finished at the end of the line they bring it back, queue it up and run the line again.
“Can’t you just give me a fine and do it all at once?!”
“Nah.”
The cashier didn’t charge me twice though–said “they wont be so stupid to give you a certificate that will expire tomorrow.” –Now that makes sense!
Whatever it is, they still ran the car through inspection line twice. I couldn’t figure out why?!
Anyway after we waited for a chop that took longer than a brain surgery would take, only to find out we wouldn’t qualify for this chop unless we pay off the new traffic violation tickets.
Turned out last time when we went to pay our fine, on the way back we got ourselves another fine. What bloody Panyu traffic! Together we had another 2 tickets from out of GZ. One was to be paid in post office and the other was to be paid through Rural Credit Cooperation Office, both after they would be issued in the hall next building. When we went to the hall 4 people were working at the same window, none of whom was doing anything intelligent. They said–”Computer broke.”
“Then how?!”
“Go to Traffic Management Department and have them issue the tickets.”
Then Traffic management Office–>Rural Credit Cooperatives–> Post office.
Paid, paid, paid, “now wait 2 weeks for the bill to be settled before you get the chop.” –and imagine the line…and the speed with which it moved.
Figured might as well pay the cleaner and deposit some money in BOA, resulted in more lines, more waiting.
By the end of the morning my pimples were popping out like crazy.
Gordo looked at me and said:”Moon surface again.”
“I know.”
I felt like closing myself up in a toilet room and fist and kick the wall and scream.
In the afternoon I did a thorough cleaning on one floor. My fingers were prunes but it was time to show some true colors to my a-yi. She probably thinks I am a lazy bitch that never lifts a finger but she should know that nobody cleans like the owner.
A dinner we deserve after a day like this–
By the way Linda confessed she doesn’t really read much of the crap I write anyway. She comes for the pictures so here you are:

A picture of XT I took the other day. She digs hole in everything she owns. This is a new sweater but there is huge hole at the back. When we took her out we saw another dog in a nice furry jacket and she in a “holy”
sweater. What a shame–”I am not your Mom. In fact I don’t know you at all.”

Christmas is really not a Chinese holiday but you can not really close your eyes and ignore it in China.
Store deco makes the whole city look so much warmer and cozier than usual and it does spread romantic vibes;)
In the trading business when most of your contacts are either going to the beach or taking a home visit, it actually makes me feel like I am missing out on something.
On the other hand store Christmas sales has totally whet my shopping appetite.
Just yesterday alone I went to B&Q, Metro, Ikea, La Perla and Good World Center altogether.
“I am in a huge shopping mood.” I said to Gordo.
“Get cured.”
“Afraid it’s too late.”

My biggest self-discovery of the week while Gordo was not home is that I am a truly one-of-a-kind indoors-y person.
Early in the morning he came home with a big pile of newspaper tugged under his arm, (among luggages of course)–:”You never cleared the mailbox! It’s exploding!!!”
Arg…I didn’t realize we have a mailbox?!
And I completely forgot about daily papers.
Then he walked in the Kitchen mumbling “I am starving…”Is there any pão?(bread)”
Arg!No…
I didn’t realize there’s no bread?
And I couldnt’ remember at all what I’d been having for breakfast the whole week?
I am actually pretty shocked at my own hermit-like life style too.
I know my snacks are almost gone though.
Between work and idleness I did have a few girlfriends to keep me from being alone and possibly feeling lonely or bored.
My Tuesday was normal, even cooked myself a chicken wudong, and that was the only meal I cooked the whole week.
Wednesday I went to fabric market for a specific fabric and found it right away by luck. Since I had saved so much time I decided to visit Mary’s and had my nails fixed.
Thursday Jenny Hu visited me and finally did some bellydance together. Went with Jenny R and other girls to a café in Panyu downtown and came back around midnight. Jenny Hu stayed over and left on Friday before lunch.
Saturday went with Franny to Jenny N’s house for dinner. Met her parents for the first time.Chuck cooked a traditional turkey meal and we stuffed to the limits. Franny came home with me for a round of drinks and we ended up talking between music and drink and smoke until 3am.
Franny stayed until Sunday evening.
Monday I went with Jenny Hu again to “update” myself in update mall.
And then the week flied by without pão and picking up newspaper?!…and a peaceful mind.
The only thing-without concerning the other half, I go to bed around 2am every night. My nerves are tense I normally couldn’t sleep alone.Doggie’s company helps me relax a lot.
I just realized I have never lived alone for over 2 days my whole life…
Here’s my paws:

Dark blue is very trendy now.

Purple for a christmas look.
Another 2 items added to the French whore’s collection.
My last Anais Anais was purchased in HK and it was not an easy search.According to the report from Gordo, it is not a common item in Paris either. Guess this brand is old.

A beautifully carved lid like a cream cake. It has a very fresh green tea flavor. Like Daisy, it smells too innocent to be me.

I really like this angel image fabric.
Haven’t been able to update too much lately. Maybe its right– “the music has died.”

Too lazy to write anything.
Here’s the pics:
My only costume, the wig.
Should post other pics soon…
P.S: Pics have been PS-ed. Ya all know my skin (our skin) is actually not that smooth.
I am holy.Pretty pimply lately too.
Saw 2 brazilian girls on the party. You can feel Brazilian spirit from miles away. It’s happy happy…I couldnt help asking for a pic with them. The moment we lined up together I realized their boobs are squeezing me. Poor me… Glad at least I have my high heels on.

Here’s my good buddy Mira who is in love with someone else now(a 2.5 year-old kid). Good to hang out together sometimes.

Here is with mi amor who I am gonna celebrate 6th year wedding anniversary with tomorrow.
No I didn’t do the painting. I had it done there but I was told my previous eye shadow was pretty well done too. That was done by miself.

Aiya…
It’s been a while again.
Whenever I have to log in to leave a new blogpost, it means I have been missing for too long.lol…….
Last night was fun, meeting Mira and B. B for the first time in 7 years.
This guy still calls me “dude”. I think at least I deserve to be “dudess” or “dudette”…
Tibetan restaurant near Holiday Inn is a beautiful place, and for someone who has just been in Tibet, I will say this is really genuine, in terms of performance, food and deco.
2 bottles of wine for 3 of us. All the fun reminiscensing…
Later we went down to the Cellar with 2 of B’s friends.
It was crazy fun dancing the food off lol…

Spent a very patriotic/traditional National Day on Oct1st–This includes:
watching military parade live from TV in the morning, take-out lunch, seeing fireworks around Exhibition Center at night, then a dinner at an open-air BBQ place near home.
The next day after some Fall shopping and lunch I went to see my parents. Stayed there until Sunday Oct4th afternoon.
Today I went to see my soon-to-be 100 yo grandma with Dad.
Nothing so exciting.
I am just glad I am finally home, back to my “normal” life.
My new perfume–Daisy

Gordo’s new pesticide–Polo

Xiamen is now the city I visit the most after Beijing.
Although my flight this time was at 11am, I had to get up at barely 7:30am. The new Airport Express initiated from Clifford Hotel is great. The trip takes 70 minutes and would easily save 70rmb compared to using a car.
I had to check my tiny trolley because inspection would not allow anything liquid over 120ml.
“Why don’t you squeeze out some of it and let me go?” I said.
“No,” the guy pointed at the bottle,”It says 200ml and it stays that way.”
How stupidly dogmatic…
Glad I had enough time, would have hated to give up a new lotion…
I read a little in the waiting lounge but once I got on the plane I just passed out. The coffee saved me. At 12:40pm I got to the hotel.
There is raving reviews about Sheraton on internet, but it didn’t wow me.I was spoiled by Crowne Plaza last time. This is no doubt very good, though. The shower spray head looks like a dildo. I could see the mirror from the bed. (This is pretty scary especially after I read murder story at 1am :S )
Ellen picked me up at 1:30pm and we went straight to the factory in Quanzhou. It was a 2 hours ride.
I spent 1 hour looking over and taking pictures of the stuff we have in lines. Tried to tell everybody over and over again my concerns like a grandma. Then we all went into another room for tea, during which I lectured again on my concerns I think they could foam. Then I thought my job was probably done.
Another 2 hours back to Xiamen and at 7:30pm Ellen and I were in the hotel room washing face, ready for dinner.
I hadn;t had any decent meal the whole day so we went to a Hunan restaurant. They had fantastic soup that one can’t easily find in Gz.
After that I was back to hotel and took a shower.Went down to lobby bar and had a Mai Tai.Came back up to my room and did a facial mask+brushed my teeth before I continued with “5 little pigs”. I was a bit passed 1 am when I turned the last page. I probably didn’t fall asleep before 3am, because I neurotically checked on that mirror every once in a while. :S
Traveling is the best time for reading. I should have brought a brand-new book instead a half-read. The next day there was nothing to read while waiting, although I slept till 11:30am.
