Wow I got this fantastic Cds from HMV today in HK…
Cd1 traditional &cabaret, Cd2 drum solo&tribal, Cd3 fusion…seems like its true..the best thing you get when you least expect it.
My last great Cds were purchased in some little store in Yun’nan and it turns out to be famous work–Passion of Percussion from Mega Muzik. My instructor had to bring hers all the way from turkey and said it couldnt be found in China. Guess what..:P It was also the yield from a random browse.
Anyways…woke up really early in the morning, traveled a lot but ended up too excited to sleep.

Monday I had a periodic exam–I made a 2 minutes choreography and simulated a class.
Today I went to see the construction site of a new club–Impressive!
This is going to be the most professional BD base around!
Made myself a Jagerbomb tonight.
I miss a good barbecue.

Spinned all morning, then went off without lunch.
Expected to finally present the docs necessary and get things done, but instead had to spend the whole afternoon dealing with Foshan Bureaucratic crap without achieving anything substantial. Talk about waste of time.
If I explain it , it’d be like re-living the misery.
After a few days of really hot weather I finally was bold enough to wear a lighter jacket ( Believe it or not,I am a conservative dresser, rather overdress than under-do it)but like a conspiracy, it suddenly turned cold and rainy. I had to take the ride home in the car and abandoned my donkey at the gate, which means tomorrow when I go out I have to take public bus.
Gordo said I am like an old Cantonese woman–nothing is good, always complaining.
Well, I AM Cantonese, and I ain’t getting any younger. No?

Well, my last post was dated Feb 3rd. It’s been almost 2 months that I have completely deserted this place.
The little trivialities of daily life, if not blogged right away, lose sense the next day.
All in all this was 2 months in which nothing drastic happened.
End of February I have reached MINE big three O and here is the most significant part–
I’ve decided to pick up bellydance again and this time, will not be a sloppy “2-day-practice-and-5-day-break”.
I’d been planning to do that for a while before and never got down to it.
Very luckily I found a great instructor who is able to correct a lot of my flaws and teaches me a great deal more.
One thing I knew after walking out of the so-called “pro-program” in 2008 from another teacher is that I didn’t know enough.(Neither does she.) With my new instructor it is a completely different experience at a whole new level and I am pretty sure that is the way to go. There is so much to learn and the more I learn, the more I realize how little I am.I am ready to spend at least another 5 years becoming semi-decent.
Gordo bought a small BBQ stove 2 weeks ago and we’ve been having home-made bbq for the past 2 sundays.
Is that the nostalgia of a Gaucho? Fazer churrasquinho?(make little bbq), I don’t know.
But I know I am a happy eater.
Recent pics taken on Sunday.
XT (short for Xiao Tan) is big girl now. She is sweet and mean at different times, but mostly incredibly spoiled.

In Shanxi, noodle is the main day-to-day food. Rice is a less preferred option.
This is something made from buckwheat.
Lunch at 1+pm, because yesterday was a good day on lunar calendar and many “good”places in town were fully occupied for wedding banquets. It was also because departure was delayed an hour and I arrived late.

scene outside of factory
After lunch it snowed for 2 minutes–some teeny tiny snow.
The whole town looked pretty bleak, especially in winter.
This is the second time I was there. Good part of this place is all the genuine old houses and constructions, which makes one feel like traveling back in time.
The bad part–well…the “nada-ness” depresses me.
0 degree at lunch hour but it didn’t feel cold. Air was refreshing as there is less humidity in it.
Also because I wasn’t at all exposed to the outdoors: car–restaurant–car–factory–car–airport.
My equipments: pantyhose, pants, leg-warmers and padded boots, padded jacket over 3 layers of clothes+scarf+gloves.
It was a pretty efficient day for me. Staying over-night there would have been a horrible idea.

Regular sunday, between nap and tv series I played my new game of experimenting different color for eye shadows.
I don’t have enough material on hand for the creation of a gothic or grunge image. Photographer doesn’t have the right spot either.
Will do it again some other day. The rest of the week and the coming one will be quite busy ones.

My super long black scarf can be wrapped into a proper outfit.

Screaming red scarf bought at the entrance of a metro station for rmb 10.
My every single attempt of taking the metro rather than taxi in the hope of saving a few Kuai always ended up a failed skeme. Those “bling bling” at the metro entrance always cost me more than what I would have spent on the taxi. (but I guess you can’t blame me for trying…)
Eye shadow includes: black, dark grey, brown, dark green and silver.

My fucking recurring dreams about being on top of a tottering building/tower or a high mountain without support never stop. This time it comes 3 nights on end. Probably that’s why I have developed an acrophobia.
Does it have to do with my recently growing strong sense of underachievement or a sign of insecurity?!!
